Sophie Camu Lindsay is an art consultant and curator, working in the art world for 25 years. She spent ten years as an Impressionist and Modern Art expert at Sotheby’s in Paris, London and New York. She was a Director and Vice President in the department and Head of the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Auctions.

In 2010, Sophie set up Camu Art Ltd to offer a highly personalised art advisory service to clients wishing to create, expand or modify their fine art collections.

Now based in Fife, Scotland with her young family, Sophie continues to travel and explore the international art market, while additionally co-founding ‘Space to Breathe’ - an annual fine art exhibition and festival held in Fife each summer. Learn more about Space to Breathe here.

Recent years have seen dramatic fluctuations in the art market. Buying demand and trends are continually evolving. I follow the art market closely, keeping track of buying patterns and advising which works of art will prove to be a good investment and when to sell.

I deal with all aspects of each transaction, from the valuation and in-depth research of each art work, to arranging paperwork, transport, art insurance, framing and restoration on my client’s behalf.
